1. Introduction
Glean ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by TMZap Incorporated (d/b/a Glean). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use glean.name and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1A. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for your personal information is:
TMZap Incorporated
d/b/a Glean
7 Rye Ridge Plaza, Suite 660
Rye Brook, NY 10573
United States
Email: privacy@glean.name
As the data controller, we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data in connection with the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Contact and Account Information
- Email address used to deliver results and support requests
- Optional name or profile details if you sign in
Search Inputs and Results
- Brand names and business descriptions you submit
- Search results including risk ratings, trademark conflicts, and domain availability
- Search history and dated snapshots associated with your account when you save them
The checker keeps a current-tab draft and last result in your browser’s session storage so you can return without rerunning the check. Server snapshots support the optional GleanMark save flow. An unsaved receipt expires; a saved result is associated with the account that claims it.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment status and limited billing metadata, but we do not store your card numbers.
Usage and Technical Data
- IP address, device type, browser type, and operating system

3A. AI Processing
We use AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic to analyze trademark conflicts and provide confusion analysis. This may involve sending the brand names you search and related trademark data to those providers for processing. Their use of data is governed by their privacy policies.
Per their API policies, OpenAI and Anthropic do not use API data to train their models and retain data for limited safety monitoring. See their privacy policies for details.
We do not use AI outputs to make automated legal decisions. You remain responsible for all decisions related to brand adoption and trademark filings.
